What a week of sport it has been in school! On Monday, we had Stephen in delivering our final tennis sessions!Then on Tuesday, we had the Bubble Fest with Pirate Rob, Luke and Eleanor!On Thursday we took part in a Junior Parkrun!We finished the week with the Football World Cup Day. KS1 took part in football skills with the help of Y5, who were excellent role models. Then, this afternoon Y3,4 and 5 took part in the world cup. It was lovely to see the children showing off their skills in matches. We had plenty of breaks, where we had a singalong to some classic football songs and we even had a go at the Norway celebration of rowing the Viking long boat with the drums! Last Friday, the Netball Team travelled to the Beacon of Light in Sundrland, to take part in the Netball County Finals! It was a great experience and the children represented the school so well. They played some great netball but unfortunately they didn't progress out of the league stage. Half of the team were from Y4 and Y5, so the future is looking bright for next year! What a brilliant afternoon at the Musicals summer concert! 🎭🎶The children were absolutely amazing, bringing so much energy, confidence, and joy to every performance.
