Pupil Voice Groups

We have a range of Pupil Voice Groups, who do an amazing job! They are the ambassadors for our pupils and it is important we support our pupils to give them the opportunity to lead and develop the school.

Our Pupil Groups meet half termly and every term they present an assembly to the whole school and plan a lunchtime activity.

Welcome to our School Council.

At Thornhill Primary School we have a democratically elected school council. Annually the children from Year 1 to Year 6 vote for two children to represent their ‘pupil voice’ on the school council. The council meets weekly to discuss a wide variety of issues such as school lunches, playtime events and any matters of interest brought to the meeting from each year group. Minutes are taken and shared with the whole staff in order to inform discussions and decisions taken in the future. Great importance is attached to our ‘Pupil Voice ’and our active school council helps us to ensure that our school moves forward and continues to improve.

Welcome to our Eco-Council

We have a team of Year 6 Eco-councillors who work in our school to commit to our Green Promise and Climate Change Action Plan.

Welcome to our Digital Leaders

We support, develop, and promote the use of computing and digital tools across the school.

Welcome to our Buddies

Our Buddies do an amazing job running lunchtime activities and keeping everyone safe and happy!
